Jaimie Alexander is an American actress who began her career in the family feature “Squirrel Trap” in 2004, where she played the role of Sara. After starring in the said movie, she appeared in an episode for the television show “It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and the pilot episode for the series “Standoff.”
Because of her charming looks paired with the desire to become a famous actress, Jamie Alexander moved on to make more film and television appearances, this time in bigger roles. She starred in the movie “The Other Side” and played the role of Hanna Thompson. She gained greater audience following with her role in the series “Watch Over Me,” as the lead character Caitlin Porter.
In 2006, Jamie Alexander had her first leading role in the scream flick “Rest Stop.” In the said horror film she played the role of Nicole Carrow, a girl who elopes with her boyfriend but is unexpectedly followed by a deranged serial killer while they were staying at a rest stop.
Jamie Alexander established herself as a scream queen in 2007 when she starred in the film “Hallowed Ground.” Another horror flick, this time she portrayed the character of Elizabeth Chambers, a girl who gets stranded in a community of cult followers who plan to use her as a sacrifice for their ritual. In 2008, she starred in the film “Here Lies Revelations.”
While she became known to audiences as one of the scream queens of the present generation, Jaimie Alexander was also popular among television viewers. She starred in the series “Kyle XY” as Jessi XX, a girl who possesses special abilities similar to her male counterpart, Kyle Trager. Because of the popularity of her character, the show's producers are already taking plans to make a spinoff series centered on her role. “Kyle XY” ran for three seasons, from June 2006 to March 2009.
Among her latest projects include a guest role in the show “Bones” as Molly Briggs, and the upcoming film “Love and Other Drugs.”
Aside from being an actress, Jaimie Alexander has also done a photo shoot with actor Matt Dallas, her co-star from “Kyle XY.” The photo shoot was taken by renowned photographer Tyler Shields. She was also the star in Matthew Perryman Jones' music video, “Save You.” The video was released in September 2009.
